Mirror Lake hike was beautiful! Lots of fog at the top but I managed to snap a few photos before getting covered in clouds.
Sneak Peek Sarah + Tucker

I told Sarah that props would make her wedding photos stand out. She didn’t just bring some cool flowers or an old picture frame to poke her head through, her and Tucker brought their classic VW and attached it to an old trailer. When I get to take original photos like this it makes me fall in love with photography all over again. Also, note the lighting on this. My 580ex II flashes were cranked at +3! Used a softbox about 2 feet from the groom to compliment his outfit. I thought about using my 70-200 to get a more compressed feel but when I threw my 10-22mm on, I realized how dynamic the photo could look if everything was in focus and well exposed for.

Mysterious Skin

I recently shot some stills for Book of Dreams Productions for a play coming up called Mysterious Skin. The actors were rehearsing and I took some photos of them to throw up on the kickstarter page. Below is the information for the play.
Mysterious Skin
Mysterious Skin, adapted from Scott Heim’s bestselling novel, tells the story of two boys, Brian and Neil, who experience the same trauma, but are each affected in very different ways. Brian suffers amnesia and develops an obsession with UFOs, believing that he perhaps was once abducted by aliens. Neil, on the other hand, embraces his premature sexual awakening and becomes a teenage hustler. In the course of the play, Brian’s search for the truth leads him to Neil and to answers that are both shocking and life-changing.

The Oregonian did a review of the play too. I took a screen cap of it below.
Oregon Country Fair

Went to the Oregon Country Fair with my 7D and a 17-55mm f/2.8. I couldn’t stop shooting. There’s something interesting to photograph in every direction you shoot. The women are naked and the men wear fig leafs. I posted a tenth of the photos that I took just to give you an idea of what everyone looked like.
